She-Spires | Madelaine Petsch

In this week’s edition of She-Spires, I’m featuring the beautiful Madelaine Petsch. Best known for portraying Cheryl Blossom on the 2017 CW television series Riverdale, and an all around amazing actress and human.

How do you start your day?

With a giant glass of water and (if my calltime isn’t too early) a visit to the gym.

Favorite ways to move your body?

One of my favorite places to be is in the dance studio, I’ve been dancing since I could walk. I run most days and love biking when it’s nice out.

What do you do when you are overwhelmed or stressed?

I have a couple different methods of de-stressing. I either write it all out (in a stream of consciousness type journal), take a bath with some candles, a great book and a bath bomb, run, or do yoga.

What are you currently reading?

I just started reading a book called The Rules do not Apply by Ariel Levy

What is your go-to simple recipe?

Vegan “Broccoli-Steak”. So simple! Cut broccoli into 1/2 inch slices season & oil and throw in the oven for 30 minutes, flipping after 15. Sometimes I’ll add some Daiya cheese on top when I’m feelin crazy.

What does nourishment look like to you?

I feel my soul is most nourished when I get to work out in the morning, drink tons of water & go to set afterwards and work the day away.

What are some simple things you do for self-care/ MeTox-ing?

READ! It is my getaway for some me-time. I also love going for a jog with some great music in beautiful scenery, or just being outside in general.

Three things you’d bring on a deserted island?

Sunscreen (because I’m basically translucent), my lil nugget of a dog Pierre, and loads of books.Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Stop caring what other people think! I still work on that everyday.

One thing you can’t live without?

Amazon Prime!

When you are filming what is your biggest vice you have to avoid?

Craft services 🙁 boredom eating is reallllll

What’s your favorite date night?

Honestly? I used to think an elaborate planned date was ideal, but now I’m happy just having a nice night in doing a puzzle or something interactive like that.

If you could live anywhere where would it be?

In a treehouse with my teleportation machine.

Red. A nice Pinot Noir is my faaaaave
