In this week’s edition of She-Spires, I’m featuring the amazing, hilarious, and inspiring LA based fitness trainer Lacey Stone!

Creator of The Stone Method and star of Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian, Lacey Stone has quickly become one of the nations most sought-after trainers. How do you start your day?

The best part of waking up is coffee in my cup.

Favorite ways to move your body?

I love HIIT (high-intensity interval training). I do a lot of HIIT when I spin, and I also like to do heavy lifting mixed with plyometric and speed drills. I really like to work out hard in the morning—it starts my day off in the perfect way.

What do you do when you are overwhelmed or stressed?

Every day, I have quiet time where I don’t talk to anyone—the more I can find the better. I also schedule a regular massage every two weeks.

What are you currently reading?

Gravity by Robert M. Drake. Everyone should read this book. It’s about coming back from heartache in the most powerful, beautiful, love-filled way.

What is your go-to simple recipe?

Honestly, I don’t really cook . . . . Justin’s almond butter on a celery stick—does that count? It’s super delicious, easy, quick, and healthy.

What does nourishment look like to you?

Fueling your body with nutrient-rich food that gives you energy and keeps you healthy. The healthier you are, the better you feel, the longer you live, and the sexier you look . . . . Get nourished, yo!

What are some simple things you do for self-care/ MeTox-ing?

  1. I eat right.
  2. I’m physically fit.
  3. I get plenty of sleep.
  4. I drink plenty of water: 8–10 glasses a day.
  5. I make sure I do something nice for myself every day.
  6. I get a massage every two weeks.
  7. I surround myself with people who make me happy.
  8. I stay away from a-holes.
  9. I have a dream I work toward while remaining present in the now.

What is your favorite cause?

Women’s rights. There are only 3 countries in the world with more women bosses than male bosses. That’s a problem.

What is your spirit animal?

Everyone’s saying unicorn these days, so I’m going to change it up with butterfly. My friend who passed away had blonde hair, so whenever I see a yellow butterfly, I feel like she’s with me.

Three things you’d bring on a deserted island?

Music, unlimited salted mixed nuts, my best friend.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

No one is you and that is your power.

One thing you can’t live without?

My family . . . . Not just my immediate family, but also my dearest friends. Without them, this life wouldn’t be the same.

When you are shooting what is your biggest vice you have to avoid?

When I’m doing fitness photo shoots, my wardrobe tends to be leggings and a sports bra. That’s doesn’t leave much room for error in my diet. I find avoiding alcohol is crucial when I’m looking to maintain a leaner look.

What’s your favorite date night?

I love meeting for a drink at a dark candle-lit restaurant before having a nice meal and then doing other stuff afterward.

If you could live anywhere where would it be?

Right here, in La La Land . . . although Malibu is looking pretty good, too! Hahaha.
