4. Add one healthy food habit each week: It can be increasing the amount of water you drink. Or putting sauce on the side of your veggies instead of pouring it over. You could try a morning ritual to start your day right – mine includes drinking hot water with lemon before I put anything else in my body. I find that when I start my day off right, it continues right. And by making it a habit, every day gets off on the right foot!
5. Embrace your bitchin’ kitchen: Your kitchen is more than a storage spot of a refrigerator that only has mustard, beer and old Chinese takeout in it. The major thing that people do in the kitchen is cook. That’s right, cook. I know most people in our generation spend more time watching cooking shows than doing actual cooking – I was one of them. For so many reasons I’d talked myself out of thinking that I had the time, energy, or skill to cook. But like all the suggestions above, I started small by making smoothies and snacks and built my way up to sides and meals. It was the key to improving my health and changing my life. And you can do it, too.
